Of things I can do, that is one of them

After reading Elizabeth's last entry, I realised I do type in a frenzy, but misuse words like no-body's business!
A popular phrase used by my mother, and now adopted by me "Of things I can do that is one of them", often used when helping with cooking or tidying (sorry, what's that?). It just makes me laugh :)
The best thing I was told today was when Mum told me that Dad's Mum's Mum used to have a pie shop, and she was vegetarian but still made meat pies. This made me rather happy because I do, actually want to own a pie business eventually, hopefully teamed with Rachel Lilley, my taste expert and compadre. I ran to my phone to text her straightaway, and hopefully cheered her up a little : )

Revision is really bogging me down, I did get rather depressed by my inability to use the cosine rule appropriately, but I can solve additions of algebraic fractions now, and know a little more about vectors, however perplexing they are.
Maths will all be over by Monday lunchtime! W00PAGE.

One of the things that tickles me most at weekends when I've been working or revising History is when Mum says "So what do you know? Tell me about...the LofN then.", and I reel off some sort of jumbledup, mumbledup account of why the LofN was pap and didn't work, with words like that so I remember it because it made both me and Mum laugh. That's the way I roll; laughter's the key to learning for me, because if it's senselessly monotonous, then I won't remember it, so it's gotta make me giggle.
"There were these pirates, they beat up the Hitler Youth and listened to Jazz right... Eidelweiss pirates, ahhaha Eidelweiss, (Hollie Steel grrrrrr ¬_____¬, and other *cough* phrases...) and they were right scallies, and had the right idea really, but sadly, they were often hung if caught."

Just recounting such things now is embedding it in me. Ahhh, GT.
Disappointingly, I really need to learn stuff for Paper 1 on Wednesday, rather than Paper 2 in like, a week and 1/2's time :S. SQUIGGLE.

I'm really starting to panic that my writing will become unbearably illegible and the chief examiner might just laugh at it and not bother marking it, because it'll look like a spider accicentally stood in some inky roller skates and danced to "Come on Eileen by Dexes Midnight Runners" all over the page, occasionally falling over, forcing another paragraph to be etched out.

My sunburn's really dreadful, it's just on the back of my arm, in the bingowing department, and it's now peeling into a tan, how wonderful (!). It really hurts, and looks like a chinese burn or a slap mark rather than sunburn, arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

Nonetheless, I'll manage somehow.
Switch is on the radio tonight, so THANKYOU GRIMMY YOU HAVE SAVED ME FROM REVISION DESPAIR! I think I'll sit and bead quietly whilst it's on, and maybe sing to You Me at 6 if they're on :D

Keep Moving!

Cartwheels in the garden! (I did just type dargen but...)
I must say, BGT did take over tonight... I voted for Stavros Flatly and Son just because they were so funny! They *did* make us feel good! Britain's got more talent with Mulhern was a hearty laugh, and the ferrero rocher man! Gee, he was a scary one!
After Julian Smith played "Somewhere" (gee, pick a song with more than 8 notes, purrleaze ¬_¬) I reminded Mum that she owned a flute...from 2003 and had not really played it since, and she did a better rendition than Julian, and that's saying something! Even *I* could play that tune and I DON'T EVEN PLAY THE FLUTE.
Mind you, he does play a saxaphone... I CAN PLAY ALEX BROWN'S SAXOPHONE SO :P
Eeeh, I was very angry!
Hollie Steel- disgrace. I'm not even going to ellaborate.

Aside from this phenomenon kerfuffle malarky, I beaded, revised and read today. I started and once again didn't finish a lot of things, but it's inevitable when dealing with a Saturday and Hazel.
I must confess, I did divulge in a little M People today, but more Wicked! I haven't listened to it in ages, and I did weep a little when For Good came on, <3 Jenny!
Bret Domino on BGMT! ohhh.

I'm still laughing about Joshua Jones; Mum.

I really enjoyed all the Dance acts on BGT tonight, but Piers Morgan does my face in.
I really hope it's a good winner, and either way, it's been fun to watch :)

Shaheen ^_^ N'awwwwwww!

"She skens a lot, has she done a lot of drugs? The other one, and Shrek! She's the one who put on a lot of weight, the one from the telly with Bradley..."
No, non of those Mum! She's from Hear'say... not Steps or S Club! Hahahahahaaaaaaaaaa
Shrek!
Poor guy! Noel haaaaaa

Well, Mulhern's made my day, apart from being seriously confused by angle theorems and the speakerphone button on my phone.
After 3 good years, my good old Sony Ericsson K750i's button's have finally stopped responding...without great, brute force!
I'm genuinely downhearted, it's been such a good friend to me ... :'(

KEEP MOVING LIZ
Bahahaaaaaaaa

Language Party

Early mornings destroy me. I just end up complaining that I'm tired, incessantly stating the obvious.
Hello, I've been for an English Language study/revision day...it was whizzer! Rachel Lilley & James are just the funniest! Basically, James had a melted 'Club' biscuit, it just looked rank!
Mrs. Grehan-Bradley was upset because they want to banish the hyphen, but she was also in the corner of BBC London's broadcast about the Natural History Museum's new butterfly exhibition with David Attenborough being sat on the floor with her legs in the air by St.John's Ambulance.
Ohh dear, how we laughed silently.
So, being in school in the holidays is pretty weird, as all of the gates within school are locked, and so are most of the doors, so we had to burst out of the fire doors in the Languages Block...GT. Haha (good times).
I blasted the afternoon class on the inform/explain/describe triplet, writing to inform students about exam pressure, I'd copy it out but I think it's a little boring when not written specifically for an examiner to go "hmm she used a lot of punctuation."

After this, we, as a family, went to Coleman's fish and chip restaurant in South Shields, which was lushhhhhh, but ohsofilling! We went for a little stroll (strohhhhl) around the park and slightly to the beach, "THE TRAIN'S COMING YEY" and my sunglasses wouldn't stay on, bahaha. We got sworn at by some lairy chavs because I filmed Liz tipping the sand out of her shoe, perfectly normal...yeah sure but not in South Shields!
I could say a lot more about our experience there, but in fear of offending the dear citizens, I will refrain.

Then, we ventured home, but there was a motorway hold up and we had to come back through East Sunderland and it was...well, slow.

And now I'm home : )
Hopefully, I'll read abit more about the DA this evening, and stick some science podcasts on to instill a renewed fear of Moles into me.

Nostalgia

Good Evening.
My day started off with Elizabeth shouting "At least it's not a signed book" because Dad had been reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and left it in the bathroom...immediately linking me to Jon Richardson's "poo-book" annecdote. That made me think I needed some radio tuneage to keep me awake, so Moyles kept me awake with Carrie vs Dave, which was very funny indeed.
"Shhhhhhhhocking."
I got up and decided to get me some scran, and read the RadioTimes section on BGT, which was not enlightening at all.
I then sat and made Helen's birthday bracelet (shh it's a surprise) and it's a pink and silver double-helix masterpiece :D I sit here typing as a very proud Hazel indeed.
So after breaking Liz's beading needle...oops I returned her beads, somehow weaving through the mess that is her room, only to find she had not even re-surfaced from her pit since she'd had her breakfast. Well it's understandable, the state of her room would make anyone feel quite morose.
Anyway, I decided to do some science revision, so popped a few GCSE BBC Bitezise podcasts on and Dave Ansell's voice made me feel numb with boredom, so I switched to M-People's Fresco album ^_______^
Wooo...sorry, I do love a bit of "Last Night Ten Thousand" once in a while...
We sat as a fam and ate lunch watching and criticizing Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Askaban (aaaah-s-ah-bah-n, lol) and Liz romped off after letting off some steam about Daniel Radcliffe's dreadful attempt at feeling geniune emotion...he certainly cannot convey it, at all.
I did read a good 2 more chapters of HP5 today though, ;P

The, the events of the day took an amazing turn for the better! After lunch, my phone had two messges from Alice. She'd decided to make her own video! Following inspiration from Hazelizabeth (w00t) she had filmed a few bits on her camera, but wanted some title inspiration.
Well, leaving Alice and I together on the internet alone's not really a good idea when we're looking for inspiration for title sequences...and one thing led to another:
The A Team, then He-Man...
"BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL!"

And we ended up on a 80's&90's nostalgia trip.
It was a delight to say the least, with wheezy rasps, as I have a sore throat :(
Bertha, Brum, Greenclaws, Monster Café, Penny Crayon (which was much likened to me...go on , laugh it up), PLAYDAYS! We did do a little rendition of "Roll Up and Ride on Rosie", which ended in tears of laughter.
Amongst guessing the theme tune videos, there was one thing on Alice's mind that we could not place.
Alice's mum returned, and her fountain of knowledge finally aided Alice in her quest about the Woods and the gate that zoomed in!
"The theme tune went like this -*sings song*"
*blank face from Hazel who erupts in laughter*

"Willothewisp?"
No.

"Rocky Hollow!"

On the youtube we were, looking for Rosie the postal pigeon.
"She's scottish and has little wire glasses, and a post bag like this *draws on paint*"

She was Welsh, but never mind, the show wasn't even from our time (1983) but she knew what was going on!
We did actually, rather sadly, watch a few episodes of Rocky Hollow, just to find Rosie the postal pigeon, and cried with laughter again at her uncovering.

I came home and started a second double helix bracelet to match my prom (sorry, Leaver's Ball) dress, so it's blue, and then went to eat with Liz and Mum and finish Askaban.
When the film'd finished...HOLLYOAKS DRAMA!
I'd completely stopped watching it, so I could actually study on evenings, but linked back to "The Worst Witch" which featured Nancy from Hollyoaks!
Haha, anyway, Clare's back! aaaaaaaaaa
I did have a small fit, but alas, I came online to post this instead of watching first look.
Tomorrow, I will try to write about me events at school, I'm going in for an english revision day...whoopage(!)

I voted for Matthew David Lewis (aka Neville Longbottom) as Mr.Twitter Universe today, just because I have his autograph somewhere :D

Wednesday 27 May 2009

Hello world, you're remarkably small.

Ah, welcome to the world of Hazel's blogs.
Don't get your hopes up.
But, I'm not going to lie to you...
I promise, this is a new start for me, and I will henceforth STOP LYING.
The title of this blog is to be said in a Welsh accent, for full benefit.

Following in my sister's footsteps, I've decided to keep a blog, however, starting mid-week, I think it will put me off kilter somehow for the future I hold in this.
So... seeing as I don't really spend that much time on tinternet as such apart from checking emails rather consistently, like my mother, socially networking, and stalking youtubers, I think I'd find it remarkably hard to keep a "daily blog" in addition to my steady, handwriten diary.
Therefore, I think I'm going to account what happens on here, the days I do not record for Hazelizabeth!
Much like the vlogbrother's attempt to see "what Hank Green does when he's not filming Brotherhood2.0", I'm going to communicate textually with you lovely internet people through this blog about my attempts to be vaguely humorous and enjoy my teenage life as much as possible.
Right now, I'm trying to find my sister on her so I can follow here alphabetical ramblings, and hopefully laugh myself silly at Alice's Bligablog :D

"Where's Hellsinki?"
"Iceland!! I knew that!!"

Celebrity crochet champion?? Ohhh diet programmes!
I read a good 2/5 of Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix today, hooray for the DA!

As a family, we enjoyed watching "Our Day Out" by Willy Russell, and really, really heartily laughed at it : )

I really don't know how Liz does it you know. She can sit in bed all day... "doing work"...but I spent today doing the same and I felt so spaced out, it was unreal. Jelloid legs and a spinning head, no wonder Liz doesn't DO anything about the house anymore!

Haha, I swear when I say things like "your's'd be" it makes grammar seem far more complicated, and when actually typing it out, it makes me sound really simple...I'm sure phrases like that shouldn't be allowed...or have I missed something and they were banished long ago?

Well, I must say I've enjoyed this so far, and what with it being the holidays and all, I shall endeavour (ennn deeeee vor) to create (hopefully) interesting blogs.

Tatty bye,
Haze
